Appleseed Strategy grew out of Kacey’s experience working with emerging and national architecture and planning firms. She began her career by joining Michael Willis Architects as its second employee and helped its expansion to three offices and 45 people over several years. Through that experience, Kacey learned about the challenges firm leaders face in establishing a presence in the marketplace and began developing the strategies Appleseed uses to build strong companies. Wanting to learn more about how national firms operate, Kacey subsequently held positions as marketing director and development director for STUDIOS Architecture and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. Kacey is keenly interested in urbanism, sustainable design, culture and higher education, and how trends and the economy shape the built environment.
